Breakfast With Green Chutney!!

Mint and Cilantro Chutney Variation:





Ingredients:

1 bunch mint leaves cleaned
1/2 bunch cilantro leaves cleaned
2 tbsp grated dry copra
1/2 " ginger
2 green chillies
2 tsp amchoor (dry mango powder)
1/2 cup onions chopped
1/2 tsp sugar
water
salt as required.

Method:
Add in all ingredients to a blender and add the required quantity of water as you blend to get the desired chutney consistency .The Mint Cilantro chutney is ready to serve with dosa and idli.

Mango pd and chopped onions are great variations ,Lera. I will try this chutney, dosai looks yummy:)

Lera my mum makes Dosas and they r yummy! We make coconut chutney too.

I would like to try this chutney but am not sure of "copra" -- is that the whole dried coconut I've seen in the stores?

I do prepare mint chutney( mint + tomato ) but never tried adding onions.

sra, Interestingly we do manage with the ingredients in it's natural state ,in all probability to end up with this lipsmacking final product :)

Linda, yep copra is the dried whole coconut which gives in a special flavour to the chutney ,do try and lemme know...:)This chutney can also be served as a sandwich spread !

Bhargavi, Mint and tomato combo sounds interesting , would love to see your post some day ..:)

na she doesnt add coconut milk...but sometimes she adds onions/eggs...its yummy!
