Bottle gourd with lentil: (Doodhi Channa)





Ingredients :

1 bottle gourd diced
1/2 cup channa dhal soaked and drained
1 Tsp Cumin
1Tbsp Garlic Ginger paste
1 Tsp Garam masala powder
Turmeric powder
2 green chillies slit
1 Tsp corianderpowder
2 Tbsp coconut gratings to garnish
2Tbsp oil
Salt


Method :

Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds and when they crackle add ginger and garlic paste.Next stir in the lentils and the diced gourd and green chillies & fry till the gourd gets tender.Add rest of the ingredients except the garam masala and cook until the lentils are soft.Sprinkle the garam masala over and mix gently.Finally garnish with grated Coconut & Serve. It goes well with Roti & poories.
