Mint-Ginger Chicken ! (Green chicken Curry !)

Green chicken Curry !!


Chicken cut into small pieces(Boneless)
1 bunch fresh Mint leaves(pudina)
1 Big Onion chopped
6 Green Chillies
1 tsp Garam Masala
1/2 bunch Coriander leaves
2 tsp Ginger- Garlic paste
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1" Cinnamon stick
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp Coriander powder
2 tsp Coconut paste
6 tsp Oil
1 tsp Lemon juice
Salt to taste


Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan and add 3 green chillies, mint leaves, coriander leaves and saute for 5 minutes till they turn tender. Then grind to a fine paste add lemon juice and keep aside.

Marinate the chicken with this paste, salt, coriander powder, cumin seed powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste and set aside for 1/2 hour.Heat the oil in a pan and add cinnamon stick, 3 green chillies and then add chopped onions saute them till they are brown. Now add the turmeric powder and then add marinated chicken , Stir in every few minutes and close the lid adding a little water and cook till the chicken is done. Finally, add curry leaves & coconut paste and stir for few more mts till the gravy thickens. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot. goes well with chappathi and Rice
