Mushroom Masala!

An exotic dish for a special theme of the day!


Sliced Mushrooms -1 Big Bowl
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Onion -2 small
Tomatoes - 2 big
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
GaramMasala powder - 1 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Salt as required
Turmeric as required
Fresh cream 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves(optional) 1 tbsp( chopped)


Wash the mushrooms and keep aside.Chop onions and tomatoes & make a paste of half the onions . Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger and garlic paste and stir, till brown. Add chopped onions and stir, till onions turn translucent.Add turmeric, chilli, coriander powder salt & chopped tomatoes and garam
masala powder and stir till the tomatoes blend well & the aroma of masala is released. Add mushrooms, cover the pan with a lid and cook on a low flame, till the mushrooms turn soft. Mushrooms gets cooked in its own fluid which is released while cooking. Mushrooms add exotic flavour to the gravy,to this later add the fresh cream & for a final touch garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
